About Carlos
Carlos Hickey is the founder of West Linn eBike Adventure and the performance-first half of the testing team.
He's spent three years researching eBikes: motors, controllers, battery chemistry, and how each holds up under sustained climbing and Oregon rain. His questions are practical. Will this bike get me home? Will it handle the hill? Will it still work after a full year?
Why this perspective matters
A lot of eBike content is made by and for riders who don't face the same terrain or the same questions Carlos does. He asks what a rider 50 and up actually needs answered before spending real money.

Carlos and Paige
Carlos runs this project with his wife, Paige. They've been married 32 years, raised their family in Portland, and moved to West Linn about four years ago. Getting into eBikes together, on camera, for the first time, is a shared project from the start — more on that on the Watch page.
